JAMAICA

Jamaica was our first global volunteer initiative. A group of six dedicated members from GYL went to Jamaica and visited the Dare to Care Orphanage, and the Golden Age Senior Home over a few days. The orphanage is a haven for abandoned children who are infected by HIV/AIDS. The senior home is one of the only homes in Jamaica, and is not funded by the government. For both of these locations, our students gathered sanitary products as well as toys for the children and diapers for the seniors.
