CASTLEVIEW WYCHWOOD TOWERS

Every Friday, a group of GYL members gather to host a movie night for the Castleview residents. We bring them down to the auditorium from their rooms, provide snacks and accompany them back to their rooms once it is done. The movies come from a wide variety ranging from action to dramas. We take into account the resident’s preference and even put out a monthly movie list to allow residents to know in advance what movies will be shown. Moreover, the movie night program is not only pleasing for the seniors but also a great learning opportunity for GYL volunteers. It allows us to improve communication, problem-solving, leadership skills and learn how to work as a team. All of the positive feedback and appreciation from the residents for the Friday movie nights encourage us to work harder to provide even better experiences for them. We look forward to working with everyone for more enjoyable movie nights.
